Neal Harris, Founder of Scentevents and Live-FX, President of Aromasys - Neal has over 27 years of hands (nose) on experience in the creative perfumery, product development and scent marketing process and is one of the most well respected fragrance industry professionals.  He is responsible for design, development and supply of fragrances and equipment for many trendsetting and up-and-coming brands and products in the household, personal care, perfume and special events industry.  He is the author and/or co-author of numerous patents and trademarks for innovative products including his Live-FX interactive multi-scent and sensory device for marketing, events, education and other applications.

Andrew Kindfuller, CEO, ScentAir - Andrew Kindfuller is a seasoned International business executive with over 25 years of sales, marketing and executive management experience; much of it in the fragrance and consumer products arena.  Andy spent 10 years with International Flavors & Fragrances, a global fragrance market leader, in a variety of domestic and international business development and executive management positions.  Subsequently, he served as Chief Operating Officer of Guthy-Renker International, the makers of Proactiv and other direct sales continuity products.  Prior to joining ScentAir he was CEO of a national sales and service company.  Andy received an MBA from University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business and a JD from Georgetown University. 

Eric Albee, CEO, Aromatic Fusion - President Aromatic Fusion – Eric Albee is President and Founder of Aromatic Fusion, Inc, specialists in scented plastics and electronic scent delivery systems. After having worked in the fragrance and plastic markets through his career, he founded Aromatic Fusion with his sister in 2003. By 2010, Aromatic Fusion grew from a basement startup to become the 205th fastest growing privately held company in the US in 2010 and the 214th fastest growing company in the US in 2011, on the Inc. 500 list. Today, Eric continues to expand the company while consulting on new product development, overseas manufacturing, branding, market development and scent marketing. 

Eileen Hedrick, Corproate Vice President, Regulatory Affairs and Fragrance Safety, Belmay Fragrances - Eileen Hedrick joined the fragrance industry 29 years ago.  In April, she begins her 23rd year as Corporate Vice President of Regulatory Affairs and Fragrance Safety at Belmay, Inc. in Yonkers, NY.  Eileen is responsible for global compliance to local, state, country, and international regulations as well as industry standards. She is very active on a number of industry and industry-related committees including the IFRA-NA Scientific Affairs Committee; IFRA-NA Government Relations Committee, Co-Chair IFRA-NA Occupational Safety, Health and Environment Committee, Vice Chair IFRA/IOFI GHS Committee, IFRA-NA CARB Task Force, CSPA Air Care Division Executive Board, CSPA Program Committee, CSPA GHS Committee, ASTM F15.45 Committee for Candle Products and Related Accessories, NCA Board of Directors, NCA Program Committee, NCA Safety Committee, and the NCA Membership Committee. In 2009 she was honored by the CSPA Air Care Division and received the Volunteer Recognition Award.

Dr. Maureen Morrin, Scent researcher - Maureen (Mimi) Morrin is professor of Marketing at Rutgers University School of Business in Camden, New Jersey. Her research interests focus on issues related to sensory marketing (esp. scent, touch, taste), as well as brand equity and trademark protection. Her work has been published in journals such as the Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of Marketing Research, and the Journal of Consumer Psychology. She is a member of the editorial review board of the Journal of Marketing and is an Area Editor for the Journal of Consumer Psychology. She has been awarded several research and teaching awards as well as a multi-year research grant from FINRA. Currently her teaching focuses on database marketing, business analytics, and consumer analysis. Professor Morrin is a graduate of New York University (Ph.D.), where she was a Consortium Fellow and won an Outstanding Teaching award as a Ph.D. student.  She also is a graduate of Thunderbird, the American Graduate School of International Management (MBA), and Georgetown University (BSFS). Her background includes five years of corporate work experience in advertising (at Ted Bates) and brand management (at James River Corp and Playtex Family Products).

Chandler Burr, Director and Curator, Center of Olfactory Art, Museum of Arts & Design - Chandler Burr, the New York Times perfume critic from 2006-2010, is the Director and Curator of the Center of Olfactory Art at the Museum of Arts and Design in New York City. Burr is the author of the two definitive popular books about the perfume industry. "The Perfect Scent: A Year Inside the Perfume Industry in Paris & New York" (2007) tells two parallel stories, the first a year Burr spent for The New Yorker magazine behind the scenes at Hermès watching legendary perfumer Jean-Claude Ellena create an Hermès fragrance, the second a year inside Coty with Sarah Jessica Parker as she directed the making of her first perfume. "The Emperor of Scent: A True Story of Perfume, Obsession, and the Last Mystery of the Senses" (2003) is about a genius of biophysics and perfume.

Jim Joseph, President, North America, Cohn & Wolfe, Author of The Experience Effect, Professor at NYU - With over 25 years of integrated marketing, public relations and branding experience, Jim provides strategic oversight, client service and drives new business across all offices in the U.S., Mexico and Canada.  He has created seamless brand experiences for clients such as Kellogg's, Kraft, Ikea, Cadillac, Tylenol, Johnson & Johnson, Clean & Clear, American Express and WalMart.

Nicola Pozzani, Founder of "S Sense, The Senses of Perfume", UK-based perfume training company; Creator and Teacher of "Design With Scents" at Kingston University London, the first course in the world about the design of places through the sense of smell. Nicola was trained by perfumer Jean-Claude Ellena at Università dell'immagine of Milan, academy of the 5 senses. Throughout his career, he has worked on exceptional sensory projects for business innovation for top executives of fragrance companies such as Symrise and LVMH and as a teacher. Nicola's acclaimed perfume training sessions create value for individuals and cross-sector organisations and have been featured in British Vogue. The British Society of Perfumers have elected him as a guest speaker for their first 2012 event and as a trainer for their 2013 Perfumery Workshop Weekend. His mission in life is to help people find their essence to enhance their lives and projects, through the experience of perfume. 

Austyn Stevens, Design Director, Brand development for Siegel+Gale - Ms. Stevens is design director at Siegel+Gale, a global strategic branding and customer experience firm with offices in eight countries. From its headquarters location in New York, she creates breakthrough customer experiences that encompass branding elements such as logo, color and visual systems. Clients include American Express, Florida State University, Johns Hopkins University, Pfizer, Sony, Johnson & Johnson, Environmental Defense Fund and Breastcancer.org. Before joining Siegel+Gale five years ago, Austyn worked as a designer for Laird+Partners. There, she was part of the team that designed packaging for the Gap. She started her branding career at ducduc, where she developed the brand and a line of infant textiles.

Andreas Ruggie, Associate Strategiest, Siegel+Gale - As an Associate Strategist at Siegel+Gale, Andreas brings a unique blend of creativity and intensity to everything he does. He has contributed to major client engagements across categories including Aetna, American Express, Bloomberg and Sony, applying his trademark enthusiasm to every type of assignment, from positioning to architecture to implementation. Andreas earned his BA in music from Columbia University and holds an MBA in strategic marketing from MIT Sloan School of Management. 

Matt Frost, Director Global Fine Fragrance and Beauty Care Marketing, IFF - Matt is the Global Marketing Director of Fine Fragrance and Beauty Care at IFF.  He joined the company in February 2008 and is responsible for developing and overseeing the implementation of IFF’s strategic and creative marketing programs.  He has been instrumental in developing and managing the global fine fragrance and beauty care marketing team as well as defining and rolling out an integrated marketing approach within the organization.  Matt is based in IFF’s New York corporate headquarters.  Matt is a member of the IFF Senior Leadership team and is involved in several corporate initiatives including leading the task force to identify, communicate and implement IFF’s Employee Value Proposition.  Matt also serves as an internal consultant to the IFF Office of Global Sustainability and is a member of the report development team. Prior to joining IFF, Matt was Vice President of Global Marketing and Market Research for Fine Fragrance at Givaudan.  Before Givaudan acquired Quest International, Matt served as Vice President Global Fine Fragrance Marketing at Quest.  After completing university, Matt was recruited by Unilever where he received extensive marketing training.  He has broad international experience having worked in the U.K., France and Japan prior to moving the U.S. in 2000.

Dr. Syed Shamil, VP, Creative Marketing - Fine Fragrance, Mane - Dr. Syed Shamil is based in NYC and currently holds the position of Vice President, Creative Marketing in the fine fragrance group of Mane – an Haute Perfume Design House with a strong heritage in GRASSE, South of France. In this position, he is responsible for leading consumer insight and market-driven projects and leveraging cross-functional resources globally to instill inspiration and develop new concepts for innovative fine fragrances based on new and prospective trends in fashion, lifestyle, and gastronomy.   Prior to Mane, Syed served as the VP of Innovation Marketing of Fine Fragrance for Firmenich, Inc. in New York City.  He was a finalist in 2008 for the FiFi Technological Breakthrough Award for his SMELL-THE-TASTE tool, an innovation in fragrance notes derived from the translation of food flavors, for the creation of new and evocative poly-sensorial perfumes. Syed previously served as the Manager of Sweeteners and Taste Technology of Low Calorie Beverages for Pepsi Cola Company.  He was the recipient of the Right Side Up Award for contributing to outstanding business results.  While here, he managed all aspects of the taste technology for Pepsico’s global portfolio of low calorie beverages. Notably, Syed led a team of scientists that developed the proprietary sweetener technology, which resulted in the creation of Pepsi One, a nationally known product that was launched in the late 1990s. 

Sue Philips, President, Scenterprises - Sue Phillips, President Scenterprises Ltd™ has had a distinguished career in the Cosmetic and Fragrance Industry, and has held senior positions at Elizabeth Arden, Burberrys, Lancôme, Paris and Tiffany & Co., where as Vice President of Marketing, she developed, finalized distribution plans and launched the first Women’s and Men’s Fragrances, TIFFANY and TIFFANY FOR MEN. Phillips formed her consulting company in 1990 and developed innovative fragrances for companies such as Avon, Banana Republic home products, Bath & Body Works Lancaster, Trish McEvoy, Origins and others. As Adjunct Professor at theFashion Institute of Technology, Sue Phillips taught the Cosmetics and Fragrance Marketing course in New York City for five years. For the last 4 years Sue’s company, www.scenterprises.com  has been presenting Custom Perfume Seminars  and offers seminars & workshops to create Signature Scents for Bridal Events, Corporate Teambuilding, Customer appreciation events and Ladies Nights out. These are fun, interactive, innovative, informative and creative events.

Christophe Laudamiel, Master Perfumer and President of DreamAir, LLC - Christophe Laudamiel is a world-renowned perfumer, osmocurator™ and trained chemist who has created fragrances for Houses such as Estee Lauder, Ralph Lauren, Burberry, Tom Ford, Clinique, Michael Kors, Humiecki & Graef and Abercrombie & Fitch. He is now Master Perfumer and President of DreamAir LLC, a unique enterprise in bespoke fragrances. With colleague Christoph Hornetz, he has designed Air Sculpture® scents for such places as the Setai-5th-Ave Hotel, the Ferrari, Lacoste and Belstaff flagship stores (NYC), Virgin Fitness (Milan) and Cesare Paciotti worldwide.Christophe authored and managed the 30+ scents for the first ScentOpera which premiered at the New York and Bilbao Guggenheim Museums (2009). In 2010, he co-created controversial yet official scents for Garden of Addiction at the Grasse Perfume Museum. Avant-gardist, he is often asked to give keynote speeches at renowned institutions such as Harvard and Columbia Universities, the French Embassies, the University of the Arts in Berlin. 

Jon Bond, CEO, Big Fuel Communications - Jon Bond's new social media marketing and branded content agency works for clients such as McDonald's, Fisher Price, Gore-Tex, Budweiser, Colgate-Palmolive and General Motors, where it was appointed the automaker’s social media agency of record for brands like Chevrolet, Cadillac, Buick and GMC. He began his career working for some quite respectable advertising agencies, successfully campaigning for Nestle, CBS-TV, and Tums. At age 25 he was named in Adweek’s Best People Under 30. In 1987 he teamed with Richard Kirshenbaum to form Kirshenbaum, Bond Senecal & Partners, a $225 million agency which has since become the leader of a new generation of agencies that is especially tuned to today’s marketing client. Some of their most memorable campaigns include Snapple, Kenneth Cole, and Target Stores.He has been a guest lecturer at Harvard Business School, appeared on a number of television shows such as The Today Show, 20/20 and CNN, and is the youngest member of the AAAA board, the advertising industry’s prominent trade organization. He also serves on the board of Worldwide Partners, Inc., an international network of agencies in 80 countries.

Ameena Meer, CEO, Take-Out Media - Ameena Meer is one of NYC's most sought-after creative minds. Recent work includes naming and concepting the latest Balenciaga fragrance for women, Florabotanica, fashion accessories for Chanel, social media for Bulgari, re-branding Korean skincare Amore-Pacific for the Japanese luxury market; naming, positioning and creating alternative marketing and packaging for Calvin Klein’s cK in2u and the relaunch of  cKone color.  In 2008, at the beginning of the recession, Meer co-created masstige advertising for Avon’s equity products, that led to a 60% increase in profits and won WWD’s best mass fragrance launch. She worked directly with Christian Lacroix to launch his collaboration with the brand.  Meer has collaborated with NYC’s top Creative Directors, Fabien Baron, Doug Lloyd, Olivier van Doorne, Giovanni Russo, Sara Rotman, Richard Kirsenbaum, Madonna Badger, Raul Martinez and Marc Benhamou. Meer’s talent for creative was discovered while she was working as an assistant (secretary) for Neil Kraft at Calvin Klein. Before going on her book tour, she was assigned to re-write the campaigns for Escape, Eternity, Obsession.  Her fledgling attempts at copywriting were so successful, she was given a hand in the birth of ckONE, the brand’s most successful product.

Karen Dubin, Founder, Sniffapalooza - Karen Dubin is the founder and Director of Sniffapalooza, an international event-based organization for fragrance enthusiasts. The philosophy of Sniffapalooza is that fragrance is celebrated as an art, and perfumers are artists. Ms. Dubin created Sniffapalooza in 2002 because she wanted to meet other kindred spirits who appreciated fragrance as much as she did, and today she has 500,000 friends to talk to about perfume! With the partnership of Karen Adams in 2004, Sniffapalooza has become a home for fragrance lovers and a powerful marketing tool for the fragrance industry. Ms. Dubin lives in New York City, where she has had an illustrious career in advertising for over 25 years.  She has decided to follow her passion and utililize her life experience in the olfactory world, and  is now working in fragrance as a creative consultant to several fragrance houses. 

Karen Adams -Executive Operations Manager, Sniffapalooza - Karen Adams is the executive operations manager of Sniffapalooza.  After attending a Sniffapalooza event in 2004, she recognized the phenomenon that Karen Dubin had created, and volunteered her organizational and technical know-how to facilitate future events. The partnership was formed, and the Sniffapalooza community continues to grow. A school psychologist by profession, Ms. Adams is a native New Yorker who now lives in Connecticut with her husband. She has two sons, and a daughter she suspects has been pilfering her extensive perfume collection.

Candice Sabatini is a beauty, fashion and lifestyle writer and is the co-Editor in Chief and Publisher of www.BeautyNewsNYC.com the first online beauty magazine, est. in 2003. As an expert in fragrance and skin care Candice is considered a top beauty influencer by beauty companies and professional industry organizations. She's a CEW awards presenter, has been on radio talk shows, media panels, and is a judge annually at  Extracts, the personal products division at the NY Gift Show. As an entrepreneur, Candice and her business partner, B. Kim Taylor, purchased BeautyNewsNYC.com earlier this year, making them the first editors to buy the magazine for which they write. 

Mark Behnke is the Managing Editor for CaFleureBon.com one of the leading perfume blogs with over 40,000 readers per month. He has written about all facets of the fragrance industry from interviews with perfumers, going behind the process of making the ingredients, and reviewing many of the latest niche perfume releases. His love of fragrance began from his career as a research chemist and he has tried to communicate both the science and art of fragrance to his readers.
