ScentWorld 2011 Shows Strength & Growth of Scent Marketing Worldwide

By all measures, our 2011 ScentWorld Expo, the largest scent and sensory marketing conference in the world, was a huge success.

In attendance were representatives from numerous companies worldwide, including not only established players, but also a number of new companies that are now entering this industry. This is a testament to the enormous growth in scent and sensory marketing, as brands, retailers and hospitality companies are starting to follow the lead of such thought leaders as Abercrombie & Fitch, co-winners of our 2011 Harald Vogt Scent Marketer of the Year SMItty Award (along with its scent solution provider, Prolitec).

We were pleased to see a number of brands represented at ScentWorld, including Wrigley, Victoria's Secret, H2O Plus, Proctor & Gamble, Method, Yankee Candle, SC Johnson, Estee Lauder and a new luxury resort under construction in Utah. These companies are on the leading edge of their fields and recognize the efficacy and benefits of using scent and sensory marketing to enhance customer experience, increase sales, improve customer perceptions and increase time spent with the brand. Look for these brands to be on the upswing, as they put their sensory marketing strategies in place.

The exhibit area was humming, with many of the booths seeing people three or four deep at a time throughout the day.
